Church Timeline

  • 1979

    George and Pam Ridley move to Bletchley to pastor church. Started with 12 people – Grew to 70.
  • 1984

    Land purchased in Oldbrook. Church building completed on 20th September 1986.
  • 1990

    Mark and Alison Sherratt move to Milton Keynes to be Youth Pastors at Milton Keynes Christian Centre.
  • 1990

    Tiny Steps Day Nursery and Accommodation Units built.
  • 2001

    George Ridley hands over senior leadership of Milton Keynes Christian Centre to Mark Sherratt.
  • 2001

    George Ridley focuses on expanding the missions work of LightForce International.
  • 2004

    Children’s Ministry launched Dream Team. School Years 1-7 moved out of main services into ‘Kids Church’.
  • 2006

    Time To Build project was launched to raise £1 million for construction of new facilities.
  • 2009

    Further £300,000 given to Time To Build. Tiny Steps Day Nursery refurbished.
  • 2010

    New church building opened in October. Launch of Discovery Kids.
  • 2011

    Launched Conferencing at MKCC.
  • 2012

    Record Attendance of 1,027 on Easter Sunday at Milton Keynes Christian Centre.
  • 2013

    Launched three services in the Main Auditorium on 3rd March.
  • 2014

    Launched Konnect in our Discovery Kids for children with additional needs.
  • 2015

    Launched Equip website to help other churches access free resources.
  • 2016

    Baptised 99 people over the year.
  • 2017

    MKCC hosts its first Global Leadership Summit in January Easter weekend saw over 2,200 people attend our services At Christmas we held our first Christmas Extravaganza
  • 2019

    Launch of #formiltonkeynes to show Milton Keynes that we are FOR them!
